Camavinga: Real Madrid Looking To Sign

Eduardo Camavinga is a player that has been in the news lately, sought after by almost every elite club, it appears Real Madrid are the most favored in landing the midfielder’s services.

According to reports, Madrid have been monitoring the 17- years old Rennes midfielder for the last two years, but they decided against signing him beforehand as they wanted him to continue developing as a footballer at Rennes.

With Real Madrid in the race to sign Camavinga, this has forced several teams to withdraw their interest in one of the most talented players in French football, as they believe that they hardly compete with Los Blancos for his signature.

Meanwhile, French newspapers have revealed that, a few months ago, Real Madrid invited his family to the club’s facilities.

Rennes have been hit hard by the ongoing coronavirus crisis and have reduced their players’ wages. Thus the sale of Camavinga to Madrid, would help financially, as the player would cost Madrid quite a fortune.

Rennes demanded 100m euros for Camavinga back in January, but Los Blancos are confident that they have changed their policy and are now more open to selling in the summer.

Meanwhile, those in the player’s environment want him to stay in France for one more season before heading to the Spanish capital. According to reports, Rennes will try to secure his services until 2021, especially if they manage to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Camavinga’s contract comes to an end on June 30, 2022, and his agent, Moussa Sissoko, also represents Ousmane Dembele.
